Nutraceutix is one of the few contract manufacturers that has the proper equipment, expertise, and processes to ensure probiotic organism survival during manufacture.
Our NSF certified GMP manufacturing facilities incorporate extensive controls in production, involving rigorous analysis and testing at every critical step.
Nutraceutix has been researching and manufacturing naturally beneficial probiotic strains since 1983. Over the years, we have developed an unmatched collection of process and technology patents, patents-pending, and extensive expertise in producing premium probiotic products for quality-conscious brands and retailers.
We control the entire process, from growing the organisms through the production of the final delivery forms, ensuring organism purity and viability at every step.
Selecting Strains: All Nutraceutix human-use strains are naturally derived and selected as appropriate and effective for human use. They are not genetically modified and have a long history of safe use in dietary supplements and food applications where they are generally recognized as safe (GRAS).
Fermentation: Leveraging many decades of combined experience working with cultures, our expert team grows and processes more than two dozen different cultures. They begin with proven starter cultures that have been isolated and genetically identified to ensure consistency in manufacturing. These verified cultures proceed to fermentation tanks where they are grown in highly optimized media, carefully crafted after many years of research.
Purification and Drying: After fermentation, the probiotics proceed through separation and purification. Probiotics are then dried using processes chosen to avoid stresses that can kill or weaken the organisms.
Storage and Shipping: The finished bulk powder is stored frozen and always shipped cold-packed to further ensure viability and product quality for subsequent manufacturing or distribution.
